Pakistani housing type consists of houses, villas, farmhouses and apartments. Most people in Pakistan buy property and build their own houses. Karachi and Islamabad mostly has flats. People used to own a large size house. Villa's or large house is the symbol of a wealth in Pakistan. Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad have thousands of property millionaires like other big cities in the world.

The average house size in the world is 1200 square feet normally. Hong Kong has smallest houses like 495 square feet, whereas Australia has largest houses, 2400 square feet. This shows that Pakistani normal house is 2.5 times bigger than the normal house in the world.
